Join The Creative Edge Artist Network!

Unleash artistic creativity, imagination and spiritual growth by partnering with The Grove to develop a Creative Edge Artist Network chapter in your home, church, university, gallery, or coffee house. Whether you are a student, full-time or part-time artist of any discipline, we need servant-leaders willing to see the beauty and power of art unleashed in the Church and in our culture. The Creative Edge Artist Network is a national network of artists and creative people from all artistic disciplines who meet to:

  • Develop artistic leadership and support in their local communities.
  • Receive prayer, encouragement, inspiration, and Christian fellowship.
  • Develop relationships with other artists, worship pastors, and ministry leaders.
  • Present and share their art, artistic ministry and resources with other artists.
  • Design community-wide artist events to see Christ in culture through the arts & media.

The Grove Center for the Arts & Media has written two new curriculums and leadership resources designed to help you host Creative Edge Artist Network chapter in your hometown. Our monthly conference calls will help you develop an artistic ministry in your church and hometown. Our goal is to have Creative Edge Artist Network chapters in every state and region. Our ministry will provide you:

  • Leadership Development & Team Building Resources
  • Spiritual Formation Tools & Resources
  • Free Curriculum
  • Downloadable videos & discussion guides through www.grovefilms.com
  • Interactive websites to share ideas & network with other artists
  • Administrative Tools-Registration forms, Marketing, Group mgmt, Logos, Nametags (Wait, will artists wear nametags?))
  • Monthly conference call support & encouragement

There is no fee or membership costs to join Creative Edge Artist Network. (Though we'd love for you to become a member of The Grove!)

Sample Creative Edge Artist Network Events

In 2006, The Grove sponsored nine Creative Edge Artist Network events throughout Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County. 2006 events were held at Coast Hills Church (Aliso Viejo), Rock Harbor Church (Costa Mesa), Bluebird Art Gallery (Whittier), JR Gallery (Manhattan Beach), Fuller Seminary, the Church at Rancho Bernardo (San Diego), St. John’s Lutheran Church (Orange), Parkcrest Christian Church (Long Beach) and the Snyder home (Dana Point). Be creative…there are lots of places to meet.

At each gathering, we usually have a guest speaker who shares their artwork and creative vision, artist Q & A, small group discussion, prayer and a delicious meal! For larger community-wide events, we have sponsored A Night of Music and A Night of Film featuring local musicians and filmmakers. We have even partnered with local fine art ministries like SEED Fine Arts, Vanguard University American Coast Theatre Company, the Damah Film Festival and the 168 Hour Film Project. Collaborating with other art organizations, ministries and churches is a great way to pull off a wonderful event for the whole community. You can create new culture in your community!
