Hello,I am new to this website and I am not the musician, my husband is. I am the marketer. He creates all his own music and records them himself but his albums always get rejected by the radio stations. I wonder if someone out there would be so kind as to evaluate his songs and give us some feedback. www.myspace.com/gobimartin or www.gobimartin.com Of course doing everything himself helps cut down on budget which might be the problem sometimes but the software he uses is pretty much up to standard.

If you could post some mp3s of the demos you recorded, that would be great. We'd love to hear your voice! You can always collaborate and do recording with others online in other states, since distance is no longer an issue. Thank God for the internet! : )

I'm stuck in the Midwest!!!!!!! Can't do any California stuff with you guys. However, I am looking to build up vocal repetoire of original songs and I don't write. I have collaborated on one songnwith Ken Medema who produced my recent demo/cd, but I don't really know how to write songs. If there are any songwriters out there who would be interested in letting me hear their stuff and perhaps sing it, I would really appreciate it. I am looking for music that fits ME ... story telling, power balads, jazz, black gospel, broadway-ish, worship, worship, worship. I am not a rocker but have flexible pipes and can sing a variety of styles. I'm open. I just need original material!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im on a tight budget and my car only gets me around town so OC is the limit for me at the moment.

Who's Up for a norcal-socal connection. That's where most of us are from.
I have a great church location in the wine country-St Helena to be exact and I am wanting to start up some coffee house concerts-It's only an 8 hr drive or just $49 one way on southwest.

My daugher attends UC Irvine-So I could come down for something in the OC.

What do you say!!!

Good to see the musicians forum come to life. I joined a few months ago but it was pretty quiet. I say a huge amen to Marcia's request to post what your working on. My page has a number of rough demos and a feed from my web site which is an audio journal. Also, I created OC Songwiters Live For Orange County songwriters. It is not exclusive to Christians but the more OC Christians that join the better. (it IS exclusive to OC!)

It's nice to be a part of this group. I'm involved in a number of different art forms (poetry, pen & ink portraiture, photography, etc.), but music has always been a passionate interest of mine.

To hear an hour's worth of instrumental keyboard tunes I recorded almost 20 years ago using MIDI sequencing, visit artisticchristians.com/markpettigrewsmusic.html. The tunes on that page are all original compositions with a jazz influence (with the exception of a somewhat idiosyncratic rendition of "Amazing Grace"). The tunes haven't been professionally mastered, so the levels are a little on the low side, and the recordings aren't quite as "punchy" as I would prefer, but they're still good enough to give you an idea of where I'm coming from musically.

I recorded it using protools. I am set to record 3 more songs this fall.
