What books have you read that have truly inspired you as a musician/songwriter? Here are a couple of my faves...

The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron
It has been a while since I've read them and I know they made a huge impact on me. I am going to get back into the practice of the Artists Way and start journaling again, it really unlocked a lot of stuff for me and helped me to think clearly and be inspired much more richly. Has anyone else read these? What did you think? Any other great books you'd recommend?

I am currently reading a book by Francis Chan that is called "Crazy Love - Overwhelmed by a Relentless God" for the 3rd time and I am also leading a small group study of the book as a leader in our church.
It is an incredibly eye opening, heart shaking, soul shattering look at the Creator and HIS deep love for us and it helps the reader to grow closer to HIM by realizing that HE loves each of us individually.
I say all of that to say that it has inspired me to write in a way that has so much more freedom than ever before knowing that HE is always with me and regardless of how busy our lives might become, HE is the primary reason that we are here.
In fact, if I may quote directly from the book, "The point of our lives is to point to HIM".
A must read for everyone!
