Alex:
Thank you for you take on the 6' x 6' oil ptg. "Two Powers". Yes, you have a
fine grasp of it. The child is exposed to this TV Image-could be sucked in, but not, she is strong and complex, maybe not hoodwinked by every attractive
thing that comes along. She maybe is a thinking young person who has a faith
and spirit strength to stand up there and do what needs to be done!

I pray this for my beautifully spirited grand daughter as she at 15 faces the
struggles of high school. Her name is Jordan! Her mother posed while I painted the original work, now time has passed by and it still inspires prayer
for our young ones. Would you pray for her too. I will add a photo of her
on my personal page. ("Walk like an Egyptian") girl.

Alex, you keep the faith and thanks again for your encouraging words and insight!!!

OK IT IS 20 BELOW ZERO HERE. Best to stay in the studio and paint.
I can paint in the Fish House on the frozen lake as well. In more
pleasant weather in Minnesota I paint outside and finish work in my studio.
January, A mural was created called lesser light, referring to the moon,
on a 32' wide by 14' high outside wall at the Dia Vivo, Bright Day School of
Art, La Romana, Dominican Republic. The young art students help me execute
this one and another in the barrio a block away. Dia Vivo is a newly started art school made to minister and love the kids in the barrio there. see www.diavivo.com. Color is important to my work! I try to teach this aspect of art in my classes at Bethel University. Somehow 39yrs. and I am still teaching
in the art department. WOW! Have a great day, we are all just little minnows of God, don't take things too serious.
