Great topic for thought! I appreciate your dedication to the vision of encouraging artists to pursue their creative calling. Thank you for listening for your calling :)
In 2010 I pray that God will…
Cami Hi
So so sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner. I got involved with the prayer journal that Richard Fudge has going around the country. Right before I got it in the mail I sprained my right hand so it's taking me a little longer.
Thank you for the lovely compliment of the chair. Thanks for taking the time to check out the sight.
Your dream of working with hurting people is so Gods heart. There is always healing in shearing what God has done for us. Even when we think it is a little bit you never know how and who he will touch by it.
I'm not going stop typing for now. My hands are soar. I will keep in touch. You are a very sweet person.
Hi Cami
Snow - Yes we had it for a day and the next day it melted. It was a reminder to us in the New England area of what is right around the corner. Only it did show up a bit early.
That's awful about your son. I hope everything turned out alright. That is a boy for ya. I now I have been there and done that, meaning I have two grown son's. One 27 & one 24 and they did a lot of very boy things that I wasn't privy to since I had no brothers.
But they turned out great.
Thank you for the encouraging words. It is very intimating to re-establish oneself and a lot of work to have work ready for showing. I'm working towards some goals and praying for the right doors to open.
I have worked in many different mediums over the years. I have done small black and white spot illustrations for publication. I have worked as a pattern designer for a art glass studio. Mostly illustration.
Currently I find myself really interested in Americana needlework. I have been working with wool fabric (recycled 100% wool garments) that I make into works of art. If you go to http://www.chairishthearts.org/ and click on the Artists you can see my chair that I created for this charity event.
Don't ever feel that your not good enough (and I'm also talking to myself) because we aren't ,ha, ha,. There is always someone more creative, always someone that seems to be better but ya know what there isn't anyone that is you and none that God specifically popped curtain idea's into your brain. Because let's face it we aren't that clever or bright enough to take all the credit. Well anyway I know I'm not. Sometimes I think "WoW" where did that thought come from?, because I know it's not me.
You'll do great. Please pray for me and I will pray for you and lets see what our father will do for his girls.
Thanks for writing me. I have been in such solitude since returning from
a recent mission trip, and all the prep for it. The leave are changing,
it makes me happy to know that WE are all a part of this.
Wow, we are close in location. Do you live in North Tacoma? Love to
hear from you some time, and thanks again for your note.
Hello
Thanks for the reply. Your rainy Washington State and I'm way over across the country in Connecticut where we already had snow. Which is very early for us.
I just joined onto the group about a week ago. What about you? It's nice to have communication with other Christiane artists. I don't really know any where I live.
So any way, what medium do you work in and what happening with you.
I am just reestablishing myself back into the secular art community and see where it goes and where God will open the doors.
God Bless
Lori
