I am delighted to be part of this wonderful network!
(a prayer) May the Lord richly bless each artist with increased passion for pursuing a life worthy of the calling to which we have been called. May the creative genius of the master Creator be poured into our lives in rich abundance. May the Holy Spirit inspire us to create with truth, passion, and life-giving power. May the Lord be honored in this place.
little about me - I am blessed to be the mother of six children. Two birth and four adopted, ages 11 to 22. Was married to a Worship Arts pastor who, in 2006 decided to leave the marriage and ministry after 20 years. I have been learning that divorce does not define me but is part of my journey. God is tenderly about the business of healing my heart, restoring my joy and giving me a new song to sing. I "play the vocal cords", write, act, and also dabble in drawing, painting, etc. To pay the bills I work in a Day Spa as an eyelash extension artist and licensed esthetician.

Are you doing anything currently with the arts. Way to go on recording
a CD! Beautiful. The Lord is leading me in the direction of networking
and reaching out to others, sometimes hard to do, when you have been
solo for a long time. At any rate, I am led to continue designing multi-media/music works and balance with everything else.

Wow--beautiful, expressive voice and songs on your website. It's encouraging for me to see you have your dream come true of recording a CD. God is leading me down that path too....He's doing it all (I have nothing to do with it!)....he brought me into a band....able to record for free...doing worship songs I've written...amazing....but I feel the full fruition of it is yet to come (still developing in the womb at the moment).
It struck me how strikingly similar (nearly identical) your story is to another woman, Merrilyn Billings, I know here up in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.

This woman's husband left her, their 2 children and their international worship minstry, and God led her to carry on in his place. Their church puts on an annual "Prophetic Worship Conference". This song is one done during their live recording during the conference. Her children, Chris and Carolyn are leading it. The presence of God is so strong during these worship events sometimes all I (and many others--sometimes the whole worship team) can do is kneel down, put our faces on the floor and worship God.

As a fellow relunctant divorcee (she "committed" divorce against me, as I would say), I can very much relate to your experience. May our Lord continue to bless and enrich your life even when you find yourself shouldered with changes you had little or no control over. I'm no expert, and I have a long way to go myself, but I have learned in the last several years that there is life post-divorce.
I serve at my church, The Crossing as a frontman/vocalist and I work as a musician as well. I have been in the business all my life and absolutely love to serve God with my talent.
