In the beginning there was God...
This is where it all started, when time began, howbeit, God existed before time began; and He will also exist after time is over.
Eternity is not a long time, as some would think of it; but rather eternity is the absence of time all together.
This time and space continuum is something which God has created for our existence; and though God will at times enter into our dimension of time and space, God's existence is outside of it.
God, on mount Sinai, when asked of Moses, "Whom shall I say sent me," responded with: "Say I AM that I AM has sent you."
Here is a clue for us to take note of, in that It's in this name, "I AM that I AM" that we may learn of God's availability, in that because He is eternal, our only opportunity to find our communion with Him is in the "NOW," in the space of this present moment.
God was available yesterday; He will be available again tomorrow; but in order for us to maintain our communion with Him, it is first necessary for us to be in the present, where He is!
Our problem is, with our human nature being what it is, typically our minds are either in the past, dwelling on yesterday's mistakes; or we're worrying and fretting over something we fear will happen tomorrow; and with our minds in either one of those two places, we are completely missing God!
God's solution to this problem may be found in Psalms 46:10, where we are told to "Be Still, and know that 'I AM'
is God!!!"
Here's the point of our existence and the reason why we each are here, and have been given our life, God has preordained a mission and a destiny, for each of us. However it is only as we reflect God's light into this dark world, with that expression being expressed through our lives, in and through whatever avenue we have chosen, be it in business, government, family, religion, media, education, or entertainment, including the arts, as long as we maintain our connection, and are attached to our Vine, then we remain and are the conduit through which God finds His expression into this lost world!
Our uniqueness, in our abilities and talents, when inspired by our Creator, through us, as His living epistles, as we maintain our faith walk, in Him, are obedient to His Word, and are lead of the Holy Spirit, then we are expressing His Kingdom through our lives; and it's in that expression that we are then fulfilling our destiny through our life!
