Painting during worship is a lot different since if you see a picture in your mind of the space station or a windmill or something you don't have the luxury of being able to look up what it really looks like but you have to paint from what you can see in your mind to represent it to the best of your ability. I look at these paintings more like quick sketches to communicate a message and will often rework the paintings at home in my studio if I do not sell them right away or am bothered by a section of the painting that I would like to work on more.
Anyway ... have fun with it. I have grown to love it although I admit it took some time and a journey to get there (really enjoy it and not being nervous or frustrated by time constraints etc.) I also really enjoy taking the pieces I have painted during worship and using them as studies and re working them in the studio.
An old friend from the past, Jim Bright and the gang...love your work, especially the pomegranate work... beautiful brush work and color sense. Please say hi to Paul for me.
Great to have you on CEAN. Love your work and the use of colors. Do you paint with acylics or oils? Do you have a studio? Luv to hear all about your venutures with our Lord and Saviour. God Bless Deborah Ford
