Juvenile Hall Ministry

It's amazing the places God calls you to go.....places you never would have guessed in a million years that you'd go. Not only would you never guess that you would go there, but you wouldn't have a clue how passionate you would become for a certain group of people or place.

I am saving myself just for you. It has not been easy. If it was not for Christ's strength, His word, and my friends and family keeping me accountable, i would not still be a virgin!! Wow...sorry for the delay in getting back to you Michelle...South Africa was wonderful...I need to post some photos of your trip...I mentioned your juvenile hall ministry to Jim...he placed a post regarding Teen Challenge...he's looking for creative leaders, musicians, artists to come in every so often or events to bring his teen challenge students to.

I had a day similar to what you are describing two weeks ago when I told you I went to Santa Monica.

On top of the stress of risking that long drive with "Miracle Mobile" still in desperate need of restoration..lol

Anyway, I couldn't believe that inbetween all of everything I had scheduled literally back to back, I ended up with a miraculous 2 XTRA Hours !!!

I was too far from home to waste the mileage so asked God what He wanted me to do with all that time ? ( Also with no budget to do anything like have lunch in Venice Beach which would have been MY choice..lol )

So immediately I envisioned friends that I hadn't seen in 12 yrs that lived in Torrance ever since we first met 35 yrs ago when I was in the Jehovah's Witness Cult.

By now their children are probably all living elsewhere with their own kids, so it was unlikely they would still be there, but I didn't even hesitate to head over there to see anyway

and on my way had thoughts that it would be a shame not to at least try to see them again one of these days especially before the husband died from a serious illness ??? =;-0 Weird thought since when I knew them he was active in sports and NEVER sick...

So I get there and knew this was STILL their home from all of the car covers with their last name painted on..lol...But thought, what are the chances they will be home in the middle of a Saturday, so before going to the door I prepared a note with my contact. But to my surprise, they had just got home from their grandson's baseball game and were literally on their way out again to San Diego to celebrate the husband's bday..

Given me the HalleluJAH clue that they are no longer involved in that cult that doesn't celebrate. ( Answer to prayer for the escape of all JWs especially my friends..lol )

So in a couple of hours we got semi caught up with life since 12 yrs ago including that the husband recently almost died from diabetes, a heart attack and kidney failure until the wife donated one of hers...

and thanks to facebook I am now even getting reconnected with their little girls who used to play with my 32 yr old like a toy when he was a baby.
Now those "little girls" are 37, 40 and 42 with a billion questions about what I am doing now about church ? And finding out more than they expected ...LOL !!! and since they "just happen" to work in
West HO LYWOOD, they mention how many friends they have who are involved in that substancially gay population, many who "just happen" to be affiliated with DISNEY !

lol

And I am also blessed to know my wait won't be long

Welcome Michelle...you're on it...got your page set up! Where did you go in Africa? This photo was taken off Cape Town with Table Mountain in the background. I went with 3 of my kids last summer on a missions trip to South Africa.
