What is Rock for Justice?

The mission of Rock for Justice...

...is to make speaking out against social injustice a seamless part of your everyday life. We strive to raise awareness of socially-minded artists and the causes, organizations, and non-profits they support - by finding innovative and engaging ways to connect them to new audiences.
We are:

* Musicians who want to use our talents for the greater good.
* Filmmakers and with an unshakable commitment to humanity.
* Writers speaking up for the underprivileged.
* Dancers inspiring a movement.
* Rebel oil painters.
* Digital art activists.

And we believe our unique voice is essential to building a community of compassion, dedicated to creating a positive impact on issues of social justice; like global poverty, human trafficking, war, homelessness, and substandard living conditions.

With the increasing portability of technology, velocity of information, and mass adoption of social platforms, we - now more than ever - have the opportunity to benefit the greater good, and have fun doing it. We want to educate and motivate concerned citizens to donate, participate, and make a difference by connecting to our artists at the speed of a download. With the strum of a guitar pick. With the click of the record button on the video camera. However you choose to rock.
Make Art. Save Lives. Rock for Justice

Rock for Justice

What is Rock for Justice up to in 2009?

2008 was an incredible year for us and we hope that 2009 will be even bigger. We've been taking several months off from active non profit work to retool our mission and our structure, but Rock for Justice is set to return in May of 2009.

We've put a lot of thought, prayer, and reflection into how we can best successfully enact our mission statement.

Our first order of business is to put up our new website, which will feature frequently updated blog and video posts that will keep everyone up to… Continue

Hello All,

Loveeeee the work that you do. Sorry to be so tardy in getting back with
you. I have been out of town, and engaged with all the preparation of
creating multi-media/music work for children in Brazil. It was my first
mission/teaching experience. Would love to know more about what you do -
which sounds facinating. I am seeking outlets for my creative and spiritual
expressions, and am free to travel, teach, and learn.

Be in touch when you can.

In Christ,

Linda U.

I LOVE your envisioned utilization of talent vs MTV mentality
and very much the same inspiration for my own passion.

Can't wait to discover what specific collaboration of efforts you are desiring.

God Bless !!!

As members of one body belonging to each other,
God has given us different gifts and talents that differ.
Let us use them well, with skill and for His Purpose.

It never ceases to amaze me how God connects us when our passions and talents are used for His glory. Rock for Justice sounds like a great organization dedicated to use their gifts and resources to make a difference in this world, we welcome you as friends of The Grove.

Hello Brethren,
Thanks for spotting me as a friend. I am very excited to know that you exist with such an insightful mission and vision---passion. Sincerely, I can't hesitate to invite you join our group "CHATA" Christian Hearts of Art Transforming Africa. This is a project with all the objectives as you will read them on this site.

We are expecting to receive our US Art team in this coming Summer and if possible, Rock for Justice would be most welcome to be part of this team. We are ministering to the Internally Displaced People's of northern Uganda whose lives have been scattered by the 21 years civil war. Through art, we believe the lost souls are easily won to Christ.

Please, you are most welcome. And really, Brother Joey was inspired as always to recommend you join us. CHATA is a project run by The Divine Mission International, a local Charity here in Uganda.

More we can share brethren.

Blessings,
David

I've met with Mitchell Yong, one of the leaders of Rock for Justice, and I'm very impressed with what this group of men and women want to do in making a solid difference in this world. The Grove is very excited about their work!
