As I write this post, I fully understand that even though I am by no means a gifted writer I still love to do it, LOL.
What I do realize is that I love to write and I am so amazed at what God has done in my life, from rescuing me from a life of addictions to showing me how to use the gifts and talents that He has given me, and the fact that without using them to bring honor and glory to Him that they can be easily wasted. (I lived many years learning that one)
Even though we have a potential hurricane (Danny) heading our way which will bring at the least it appears much rain, I plan to head into the woods by the waterway for a few days alone with God. I am choosing this time because I feel as if He has chosen it for me and I will be taking my oils along with me (as they are waterproof) LOL, and I am excited to see what God will do with our time together through painting and meditation.
My life is Jeremiah 29:11 which can be summed up by saying that God has a plan for me, I ask that you pray for me as I seek to get alone with Him and away from the bustle of activity that can sometimes follow a worship artist around. That is by no means a complaint, but it is however a reality that sometimes you can get weary, and we are told to "come to me you who are weary" so I plan on doing just that.
We live in a smallish coastal community in NC and sometimes it can be tough to always be in the public eye, especially for me when people treat you like they are a fan of yours instead of a fan of God's.
Does that make sense? Can anyone here relate? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
I will have faith in the storm that God has placed this on my heart for a reason, maybe that's the very reason I am feeling drawn to the camping expedition. Maybe that is how He is choosing to allow me to create something that will reach another for the benefit of HIS kingdom and I ask that everyone here will pray for me during this time.
I've heard it said that life isn't about surviving the storm, but dancing in the puddles.
