Situated on a 12 acre avocado and lemon grove in Valley Center, California, the main house, Hacienda de San Jose, will serve as a central gathering place for The Grove Retreat Center. The California Mission style Hacienda will have bedrooms with private patios, a media room, dining area, library and a large great room. The spacious Hacienda will provide plenty of comfortable places to curl up with a good book and spend time with others in community.

Among the lemon and avocado trees, eight duplex adobe cottages will encircle Hacienda de San Jose. Like the main house, each bedroom will have a private bathroom, fireplace and patio. One duplex will be exclusively reserved for our Artist In Residence program and pastoral sabbaticals.

A multipurpose chapel will be adjacent to the Hacienda. Multiple art studios and classrooms will serve as working and teaching environments for visiting friends of The Grove.
